Subversion Plug-in at Eclipse.org?

Thursday, June 29th, 2006, 20:16:41 +0000, Gunnar Wagenknecht

Hey check this out! The Subversive developers want to continue the development of their project at Eclipse.org. But that’s not all. It also looks like that the final goal is to get it into the Eclipse Platform. This would bring out-of-the-box Subversion support for Eclipse. :)

    WOHOOOO !

I’ve waited for this for so long!

  2. Neil Bartlett Says:

Great news! Unfortunately I guess this means that Subclipse will have to move to the Eclipse CVS servers… they will no longer be “eating their own dog food”.

  3. Gunnar Wagenknecht Says:

Neil, that’s non-sense. Self-hosting is part of the Subversive proposal. That means that we will also get Subversion repositories at Eclipse.org.

  4. Daniel Beck Says:

    to Neil Bartlett:
but once subversion is integrated into eclipse … Then there is one reason more to migrate the Eclipse code from CVS to subversion :-)

Request: We want a SVN tree for eclipse in late 2007-begin 2008!

  5. Matt Ward Says:

Actually the plan is to have subversion available on the servers by the end of the summer.

Gunnar, you’re right. I’m sorry I didn’t read the proposal carefully.
