I am in Esslingen

Tuesday, October 10th, 2006, 20:55:12 +0200, Gunnar Wagenknecht

A couple of minutes ago I arrived in Esslingen. I’m staying at the Hotel am Schillerpark in Esslingen. It’s a nice hotel and only an 800m walk away from the Eclipse Summit Europe. The trip was quite good. It was a 5 hour train ride.

I generally enjoy traveling the Deutsche Bahn ICE. It’s quiet, smooth and you have a full power connector below your seat where you can plug-in your notebook. So you don’t have to worry about your battery.

It’s so great to have this event hosted by the Eclipse Foundation here in Europe. I can’t wait to see them all again. Last time I met with Wayne, Denis, Matt and Nathan was in Ottawa. I stopped by the sanctuary – the Foundation office – during my vacation together with my wife. BTW, she still wonders why that place is a sanctuary. ;)

If you are in Esslingen too and want to meet, just drop me a mail or say hi if you see me. :)
